All the pros of a salad
Being a very big fan of literally any type of vegetable, I can tell you that this 5-ingredient Simple Greek Lettuce salad is THE definition of a salad. Why? Imagine what is it that you love the most about a salad. That it’s light? That it’s healthy? Or that it has a crunchy feel? Well, this salad is exactly that. Just soft, crunchy lettuce with fresh spring onion and dill. Drizzled with the lightest dressing made out of olive oil and vinegar.
It is served mostly as a side dish. Usually with meat dishes as it’s a very cleansing salad. I don’t want to go into detail as to why it’s very cleansing. Because it won’t be that appetizing. But you can search why eating salad with meat benefits your health.
Spring is the season
It is always on our Easter celebration table, next to the lamb that we take down from the spit and some Tzatziki. It’s full flavored when made in spring. When the fresh lettuces are ready to be harvested along with the spring onions. After all, this salad is all about freshness.
