- 200 grams / 7 oz Grape Molasses ( see how to make here or buy online here)
- 250 ml olive oil
- 85 grams / 3 oz honey
- 20 ml brandy
- 1 orange zest & juice
- ⅓ tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 650-700 grams all purpose flour
Whisk together all ingredients except flour.
Gradually stir in the flour untill you get a soft dough that doesn't stick on your hands and can be kneaded. Let dough rest at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180°C / 356°F.
Take a piece of dough (about 30-40 grams) squeeze it in your hands to remove any excess air. Shape it into a ball and then into a cord (not too long). Stick the edges together to create a ring. Repeat process for the remaing dough.
Lay a piece of parchment paper on your ovens baking tray and add the cookies.
Bake for about 15 minutes until the cookies get a light brown color.
